Everyone is trying to convince me to be an IT communist.
Project managers, solution architects and IT managers — there are a lot of people out there who believe that IT should be centrally planned. Furthermore, most believe it's my job (as a Enterprise Architect) to perform this draconian feat.
IT Central PlanningIt is neither possible nor desirable for a small team to centrally plan the IT of any large organization.

Enterprise Architecture also provides executives with transparency. Answering the question: are proposed solutions globally optimized? (or have local tactical decisions been made)
